Strike a Pose

I can't believe it, but the little-one was in need of a little trim - his hair grows like a weed. The idea of bringing him to the barber back in the day made shivers run down his spine, but now? He literally ran down the street to Supercuts. He did take his time sauntering along a ledge he found along the way, but the rest of the trip was done at high speed.

We had a bit of a wait since it was a little before lunchtime on a Friday (it's amazing how many other people flock to this place - I know, I am one of them, but literally 12 - 15 people passed through the doors while we were there, and the phone kept ringing with requests to secure a seat in the third-rate coif-shop). CR did what any other sensible person would do while waiting for an appointment - he picked up a copy of the latest rag mag, and settled in until his name was called.

After a bit, we were called, and he hopped up into the booster seat by himself. He asked the stylist to cut the top, and the sides, and then asked if she could use the spray [water] on his head...he has very specific instructions when it comes to his hair. He held still at all the right moments, and enjoyed every minute of the process.

After he was through, they put a little extra Billy Idol love in his locks...

On the way out the door, he was not going to go without his standard "ring pop"...damn residual effects of bribery...
On the walk home, something came over the little man, and he hammed it up a bit for the camera. While passing by a tree, he went over and hugged it, saying "I'm going to hug the tree...hi tree...I'm going to hug you" - his Daddy's worse nightmare...a little delayed hippy shining through from his Mommy's earlier years (yes, I do have a little Grateful Dead/Phish, dance with my arms, Patchouli-wearing days in my past...).

He then switched gears and pulled out a GQ look...distant, stern, focused, using a parked car as a prop...

Finally back home, I captured a few last pics before he took a shower...the gel was green, and he was covered in little hair clippings...

TGIF - happy weekend!
