S-L-A-C-K-E-R
I have had a hard time putting "pen" to "paper" to document my birth story for Baby C. I was elated to rediscover my story capturing the details from CR's l'entrée dans le monde, and I want the same story for our new little one. Something to look back on down the road, to drum up all those "wonderful" feelings of childbirth.

Family Portraits
We all know CR loves having his picture taken...you merely point a camera in his direction, and the little ham will spontaneously shout "Cheeeeeeese!" Just walking down the stairs is an opportunity in his eyes to get his mug on film...
B took advantage of this vain quality and propped up Baby C next to him for a family photo opp...

Meet and Greet
This weekend we took Baby C home to CT to meet the extended family. We spent Friday night with Ga and Gee on the farm...

After a relaxing evening with the first set of grandparents, we headed to the 'burbs to see Mimi and Pop-pops. B and I were able to head out to a wonderful [adult] dinner sans children (thank you Mimi, Pop-pops and Pop-pops J!!) and Sunday the G and R families came over for brunch (again, a huge thank you Mimi and Pop-pops for hosting - it was so good to see everyone).

(Prior to dining with the fam on Sunday morning, CR and I strolled through the Center...he insisted that his baby wanted to join us for some coffee)
We originally planned on leaving Sunday afternoon, but a series of thunderstorms cropped up complete with tornado warnings, so we hung tight in West Hartford for another night, deciding that it was stupid to risk the drive. Once we decided to stay, I gave baby girl a little bath - her downy hair is out of control once it is actually cleaned.
Ironically, after the storm sped through, the weather behind it was amazing - clear, cool, and dry. Made us feel a little silly [stupid] for delaying our trip home, but better to be safe than sorry, right?
Now we're back, and back to the burden of our house and the fact that it is still on the market. Luckily CR seems unphased by everything that is going on external to his happy routines including of trips to school, park, park, park...school...park. The boy has it made...

Tummy Time
CR wanted to get in on some tummy-time action with his sister yesterday morning...

Baby C had her wellness visit this morning - she is now 7lbs 2.4 oz...she already weighs a quarter of what her brother currently weighs...and she's only 2 weeks old. At this rate she will match him pound-for-pound by the time she reaches one year...watch out, CR, she's gunning for you.

Arms up
CR and Baby C already have one thing in common...sleeping styles...

That and they both grunt and groan in their dreams...great for a bedside companion in the middle of the night. We can't move to our new house fast enough so she can make all the noise she wants in her own room...it's getting crowded in ours...

Pop-pops, is that you?
B definitely looks a lot like Mimi, but many of his mannerisms fall from Pop-pops' tree. CR is following suit by looking a little more like Mommy, but boy, does he talk like his father [and grandfather]. Tonight we had a silly conversation about sleeping arrangements, and CR's inner Pop-pops came out...
