After a relaxing evening with the first set of grandparents, we headed to the 'burbs to see Mimi and Pop-pops. B and I were able to head out to a wonderful [adult] dinner sans children (thank you Mimi, Pop-pops and Pop-pops J!!) and Sunday the G and R families came over for brunch (again, a huge thank you Mimi and Pop-pops for hosting - it was so good to see everyone).
(Prior to dining with the fam on Sunday morning, CR and I strolled through the Center...he insisted that his baby wanted to join us for some coffee)
We originally planned on leaving Sunday afternoon, but a series of thunderstorms cropped up complete with tornado warnings, so we hung tight in West Hartford for another night, deciding that it was stupid to risk the drive. Once we decided to stay, I gave baby girl a little bath - her downy hair is out of control once it is actually cleaned.
Ironically, after the storm sped through, the weather behind it was amazing - clear, cool, and dry. Made us feel a little silly [stupid] for delaying our trip home, but better to be safe than sorry, right?
Now we're back, and back to the burden of our house and the fact that it is still on the market. Luckily CR seems unphased by everything that is going on external to his happy routines including of trips to school, park, park, park...school...park. The boy has it made...
